In My Own Words

I have been painting for more than a decade. What draws me to painting is the way light, color, and composition can capture a fleeting moment and make it last.

In my studio in Jaffa, I work in oils, watercolor, and ink. I enjoy moving from one medium to another, since each has its own language and rhythm. Oil allows me to build layers, deepen the color, and let a painting develop gradually. Watercolor calls for spontaneity and trust in the process, since the paint does not always move across the paper as expected. Ink is the most direct of all: a clear line, a single decision, and little room to hide.

I paint people, places, and quiet moments: street musicians absorbed in their music, light on the water, and figures by the shore. Each painting is an original work, and every brushstroke is a conscious choice.

Alongside my painting, I am an engineer and have worked in high tech for forty years. At first glance, engineering and painting may seem like two distant worlds. For me, both begin with curiosity, close observation, and an interest in how individual details come together as a whole.
